U.K. Dental Study: Chewing Sugar Free Gum Could Prevent Tooth Decay and Save Money

In a recent dental study performed in the United Kingdom (U.K.), researchers found further evidence that chewing sugar free gum could prevent tooth decay, which in turn will save you money from procedures used to correct and reverse the damage caused by tooth decay.

What the British Researchers Found
The study analyzed the effects of chewing sugar free gum after eating and drinking specifically in 12 year old children. The study found out that the National Health Service in England could save roughly 8.2 million pounds per year if all 12-year old children across the U.K. chewed sugar free gum after eating and drinking. The study mentioned that the savings would be equivalent to 364,000 dental check-ups. Certainly, we can safely say that chewing sugar free gum has some effect on the outcome of our teeth.
