Reconstructive Dentistry
Guidelines for the Accreditation of EDA Experts in Reconstructive Dentistry, Esthetics and Function
Preamble:
The European Dental Association (EDA), pursuant to a Board decision of 7 October 2000, accredits especially qualified members of the EDA as Experts in Reconstructive Dentistry, Esthetics and Function. The majority of patients requiring reconstructive treatment should continue to be treated in general dental practices. Patients with severe, advanced signs and symptoms should be referred to highly experienced and specially trained dentists. The process of advanced and continuing training and accreditation as an EDA Specialist in Reconstructive Dentistry, Esthetics and Function is carried out under the auspices of the EDA. The EDA Executive Board, upon the successful review of a formal application, awards accreditation.
The EDA Executive Board also reserves the right, upon formal review, to determine whether to recognize equivalent qualifications granted abroad.
