Guidelines for EDA-Accredited Dentists Specializing in Preventive and Reconstructive Dentistry

Preamble:

EDA-Accredited Dentists Specializing in Preventive and Reconstructive Dentistry are – by virtue of their high level of training – able to use state-of-the-art findings and diagnoses to develop patient-specific treatment plans that meet defined technical and economic criteria. Depending on the case, they either treat patients at their own practice or work on an interdisciplinary basis with colleagues and specialists in all fields. The documents of the European Dental Association for recording findings form a common basis. The current technical consensus statement issued by the EDA and its affiliated societies and the statements by the Initiative to Promote Quality-Oriented Dentistry (IFZ) serve as guidelines for EDA-accredited dentists.

The EDA Executive Board also reserves the right, upon formal review, to determine whether to recognize equivalent qualifications granted abroad.
